Livorno ospiterà la sesta edizione di Med Ports, che si terrà per la prima volta in Italia

L'evento internazionale dedicato ai porti del Mediterraneo inizierà domani con una visita ai terminal del porto labronico

Domani a Livorno, per la prima volta in Italia, aprirà i battenti la sesta edizione di MED Ports, la manifestazione internazionale dedicata allo shipping e alla logistica che quest'anno avrà quali temi principali il ruolo del Mediterraneo e dei suoi porti nel quadro dello shipping globale e le strategie di sviluppo e le sfide della tecnologia in un mercato sempre più competitivo. La manifestazione, che si terrà presso il Grand Hotel Palazzo, vedrà la partecipazione di 50 espositori e sono attesi oltre 30 relatori internazionali e 300 tra rappresentanti delle istituzioni, operatori portuali, ed esperti di settore provenienti da tutte le regioni che si affacciano sul Mediterraneo.

L'evento, che è organizzato da Transport Events, si aprirà domani con una giornata tutta dedicata alla visita dei terminal del porto di Livorno da parte degli ospiti e si svilupperà nei due giorni seguenti attorno ad una serie di convegni dedicati ai principali temi della portualità.

«Med Ports - ha sottolineato il presidente dell'Autorità di Sistema Portuale del Mar Tirreno Settentrionale, Stefano Corsini - assume particolare rilevanza perché è la prima volta che viene svolta in Italia e la scelta di Livorno testimonia l'interesse e la considerazione nei confronti del nostro porto. Siamo orgogliosi di poter ospitare questa iniziativa e confidiamo in una buona partecipazione».

Nell'ambito dell'evento, mercoledì a partire dalle 13.00, presso la Sala Mascagni del Grand Hotel Palazzo, il presidente dell'Associazione dei Porti Italiani (Assoporti), Zeno D'Agostino, terrà una conferenza stampa in occasione della quale verrà tracciata l'evoluzione del traffico nei porti italiani in confronto ai principali concorrenti europei e mediterranei.
