- Hutchison Ports inaugurates a new container terminal in the port of Laem Chabang
- To completion of the project it will be able to enliven annually 3,5 million teu
The terminalista group Hutchison Ports di Hong Kong has inaugurated the activity of the Terminal D of the port of Laem Chabang, new landing place dedicated to the traffic of the container that - once entirely completed - will allow to increase of 40% about the ability to handling of containers of the thailandese port. The new terminal is equipped of means of raising of dock to remote control.
- The first phase of the project, now operating, includes 400 linear meters of dock with three cranes ship-to-Shore and ten cranes to portal on rubber to which as many cranes of dock have joined and means of large square that have arrived in port tuesday and will be put in function in the next few months.
- To completion of the project, the container terminal will have 1,700 linear meters of endowed docks of 17 cranes ship-to-Shore and 43 cranes to portal on rubber to remote control in a position to enlivening annually 3,5 million teu, ability that will elevate that total one of the Asian port to 13 million teu.
