Shipowning association European ECSA and the European trade-union federation of the workers of ETF transports have announced that they are trying expert outdoors to the two organizations to the aim to develop proposed for the definition of new methodologies in order to improve and to return the collection than given to European level more coherent on the marine ones. The objective is the drawing up of a final relation that can supply to the European Community Shipowners' Associations and the European Transport Workers' Federation a panoramic one of the existing systems and of present in statistics let alone proposed gaps for the definition of an adequate methodology that can allow to obtain comparable statistics.
ECSA and ETF have remembered that in the 2011 task force for the occupation and the competitiveness in instituted marine within from the Mobilità Head office and Trasporti of the EU commission it had evidenced the necessity to improve the availability of comparable data on the occupation in marine field to the aim to at best address the policies for the field.
