Due to the coronavirus, the port of Rotterdam

If the spread of coronavirus infections continues,
The port of Rotterdam will lose two million tonnes of
goods per month. This is foreseen by the Port Authority of the airport
Dutch that has seen the first effects on port traffic
caused by the emergency over the spread of the epidemic.
The authority stated that currently the expected volumes of
traffic in all product categories is lagging behind
compared to the original forecasts and that this trend is more
accentuated in the container segment.
The Dutch port authority recalled that as a rule about 45%
intercontinental containerized traffic moved from the port
Rotterdam is from or is headed to Asia.
