- Global's quarterly financial performance declines

- In the first three months of 2020, revenues grew by 10%

Global Ship Lease (GSL), a company that owns a fleet
45 container carriers rented at primary
filed the first quarter of this year with a
revenues of US 70.9 million, up 10.0% on
same period in 2019. Operating profit was 20.4
million dollars (-29.2%) net profit at 1.5 million U.S. dollars
(-85,6%). The decline in results was determined
mainly by the increase in fleet charges,
USD 25.5 million, or 21.7%, and the registration in
a loss of US 7.6 million dollars per reduction in the cost of
value of the fleet.-
- Commenting today on the economic performance recorded in the first
Global Ship Lease executive chairman George
Youroukos, specified that during the period the activity
company has been limitedly affected by the impact
Covid-19 pandemic.
